I never thought I'd say these words, but this book really DID change my life. Never mind the juice 'diet' (sorry, Jason) itself, but the punch that the writing packs in this book is the most powerful I've ever felt! One of the rules of this juicing plan is to read the whole book first - and four pages or so every day that you're juicing and, unbelievably, this really worked, too. Jason Vale has crammed information, motivation, humour, analogy and common sense with such force that I would defy anybody who reads this book to fail. This is NLP at its best. Oh - and did I mention that, in spite of my husband's disbelief, by Day 3 I was bursting with energy, I was NEVER hungry, I felt fantastic from the inside out AND I lost 8 lbs.
Forget dieting. This is all you'll ever need. Brilliant.

Like another reviewer I read the book cover to cover & was really excited & up for a juicing week
I have tried incorporating juices into my diet in the past & lost weight then & so thought a week of it would give me the boost I needed to loose weight for my hols
I bought all the suplements he recommends 70 - which seemes half as cheap as the kits he sells online
I typed out all the receipes & put them on laminated cards
bought the fruit & veg - about 30 for the first 2-3 days
I had not given any thought to the fact that I would not be "eating" for a whole week & this was something I missed immediately. I absolutely love cooking & eating is a social event in our house where we all sit down & discuss our day - it just didnt feel the same sitting there with a glass of juice.
I thought the juices tasted awful ( I did when I did juicing last time) & after 2 days the juices with spirulina (which BTW i thought smelled of fish food & when I checked is exactly what I give my cat fish to eat!!)were just making me feel sick & i found the thought of another juice too difficult to contemplate
In the end I gave up, I was miserable, hungry, tired & headachy, my husband did it a bit longer but his legs were hurting so much he gave in too.
For me personally I prefered it in the past when I replaced some meals with juices & still could eat at some part of the day.
Not eating for a whole week was just too radical for me & since i had no intention of changing to - no coffee, no milk, no meat, no sugar, no alcohol etc etc for life like Jason bangs on about it seemed a hellish experience to go thru to just go back on them at the end of the week
But it works for some so good luck

I am just coming to the end of my juicing week an all i can say is wow!! The book itself does the job explains the diet etc but the actual diet itself is amazing!! i have never felt better i have more energy an i feel so positive to continue after the week of encorporating smoothies an juices into my diet!!

im not heavy over weight just had 2 stone that i really wanted to shift for summer so i started with this book i can safely say i have lost 6lbs an feel great about it, i never followed his exercise regime to the T ie i couldnt get up at 6 to go for morning exercise but managed to exercise at lunch time in between work an also every evening either jogging or biking.

i also purchased the juice wall plan which shows exactly what shakes to have, before even starting the plan i immediatley cut out half the shakes as i knew i didnt need 5 juices a day i simply had one for breakfast one for dinner an one for tea of course with any diet there are one or two that arent the best in flavour but you know how many vitamins and minerals are in there that it powers you through!!! i have come away from the diet with 3 firm favourite drinks that i shall be having regularly!!

of note though i never purchased the wheatgrass or spinuloa i think thats correct so you may even have better results with this!!

I have all of Jason's booksand to be honest, although it can seem as though you are reading things that you kinda know and that are slightly repeatitive - he is great, his juices are great and you will lose weight.

I found the 7 days hard to keep to and still lost 8Ibs with the occasional cheating. Everything he boasts in the book was true for me - I did have side-effects but thats because my usual diet iis full of rubbish!

After having my baby in 2005, I tried lipo suction and although I had a smaller waist from it I put all the wieght back on within a few months. I tried Jason Vales books and switched between them and went froma size 18 - 14 in a year - approximately 3 stone. I have never been back up to 12 stone - although I know I can. I just incorporate some of the juices I like across the books maybe every other day trade a meal for a juice when maintaining and two juices a day rather than meals when Iwant to lose weight.

You need dedication but as an alternative lifestyle - I love it!
I have a very beautiful juicer with matching blender and I take great pride in using them and knwowing that I am putting good stuff into my body. I am very happy since introducing his principles into my life and aim to one day do one of his week retreats!

A must for anyone wanting to finally try and diet where you dont die from hunger!

Now I've tried pretty much every fad diet on the market and have never truly won the battle. Or had such astonishing results. Possibly because like everyone I'm looking for a quick fix and the thought of eating lettuce for 6 months solid fills me with dismay. Atkins was probably where I lost most weight most quickly but I felt so ill - with this I actually feel healthier than I did before I started!

I've been on the plan for 5 days and have lost 7lbs already! What's even better is that I've managed to get a hold on my bad addiction to carbs and sugar.

This plan is fantastic for food addicts who crave food even when they're not even hungry as it detoxes you and weans you off the bad stuff. When I return to solid food, I will be doing so with a different attitude - one that is more subjective than just looking for my next mood change or sugar fix.

OK, so there'll probably always be a little person inside of me that fancies scoffing a load of chocolate or chips. However, the book recommends doing phase 1 (the first 7 days) of the plan once a quarter so I know I can always do a week of pure juicing if I feel I'm getting to hooked on the wrong foods and eating patterns again. By taking regular interventions like this, I will be able to make sure I never fall into a downward spiral of eating too much and not feeling like I can get in control of it ever again.

The Juice Master rocks!
